Durable Life Skills, Inc. is seeking energetic Direct Support Professionals to provide direct care to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Currently looking for Full-Time and Part-Time DSP's for the Greeley/Ft Collins areas. Part-Time has the ability to move up to Full-Time position with expected growth. Expected part time hours: 15-25hrs per week. Expected full time hours: 25-35hrs per week.

 

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent certification
  • At least 1-year professional or personal experience, supporting individuals with developmental and cognitive disabilities. Or experience working with people with behavioral challenges.
  • First-aid and CPR certification (training provided)
  • QMAP and ACRE certifications (training provided)
  • Valid/unexpired driver’s license
  • Safe driving record
  • Follow best practice and policies and procedures outlined by company guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide client-centered support for developmentally & intellectually disabled adults in community settings.
  • Prepare and maintain electronic records when necessary.
  • Submit detailed, client-centered notes.
  • Track and submit personal timekeeping reports on a weekly basis.
  • Transport clients to various locations.
  • Ensuring all agency policies such as safety regulations are followed.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality to ensure state and federal guidelines are followed.
  • Maintain knowledge of incident and mandatory reporting.
  • Developing and reviewing client-centered goals and implementing strategies to ensure the client is progressing through services.
  • Maintain an environment of care and professional attitude with team members.
  • Attending various trainings to work towards certifications to ensure DLS has the qualifications for each position (e.g., First Aid, CPR, QMAP, ACRE).

 

New hires must pass CAPS & criminal background and drug tests, as well as, submit a Department of Motor Vehicle record to the company. Training will be hands-on with clients.

Schedules:

DLS employees Schedules can vary from week to week based on client’s needs.

Job Type: full time/ part time/ flex hours

Starting Rate: $18.50 per hour. Higher starting rate is dependent on education, certification, and experience.
