The Meadville Tribune is looking for its next sports editor. This is your opportunity to help tell the stories that matter most to our community.
This is an ideal role for an early career journalist ready to step into a leadership position and make an immediate impact in a sports-driven community. If you thrive on Friday night lights and believe local sports stories deserve thoughtful, energetic coverage, we want to hear from you.
In this role, you will:
- Report, write and edit high school and community sports stories
- Design pages using InDesign
- Use social media to engage readers and expand reach
- Take photos in a pinch
- Manage deadlines and plan coverage
- Recruit and collaborate with freelance contributors
You’ll have the chance to build relationships with coaches and athletes, grow as a leader, and leave a lasting mark on local sports coverage.
