Associate Veterinarian - New Graduates

Job Description

Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center & Urgent Care (BRVC) is seeking a compassionate, motivated new graduate veterinarian to join our structured Mentorship Track Program. This position is designed to provide hands-on clinical development, individualized coaching, and progressive case responsibility within a collaborative, team-centered hospital environment.

Our mentorship program supports your transition from veterinary student to confident clinician through guided case management, structured feedback, and direct access to experienced medical leadership.


Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) from an accredited institution
Eligible for licensure in the State of California
Ability to obtain and maintain DEA license
USDA accreditation (or willingness to obtain within first 6-12 months)Foundational competency in physical examinations and diagnostic interpretation
Understanding of preventative care standards and vaccine protocols
Basic surgical knowledge (spay/neuter, soft tissue fundamentals)
Ability to develop differential diagnoses and treatment plans with mentorship support
Willingness to practice sedation-forward, hands-free radiology protocols
Commitment to patient safety and high standards of care

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build trust and rapport with clients

Interest and willingness to embrace AI solutions to assit you in your practice
Professional and respectful collaboration with technicians and support staff
Receptive to constructive feedback
Organized and able to complete medical records accurately and timely
