Library Director

The Tupper Lake Public Library is seeking a dynamic Library Director I. A well-loved public library with an annual operating budget of $300,000 the Tupper Lake Public Library serves a community of nearly 6,000 residents and is home to a collection of more than 40,000 items. The library plays a central role in community life and is looking for the right candidate who can lead this important institution. Master of Library Science or equivalent degree strongly desired, excellent communication and organizational skills a must. This is a civil service position with excellent benefits and opportunity for growth. Includes membership in the NYS retirement system, paid holiday, personal and sick leave. Flexible schedule, supportive board of directors and a dedicated staff. Tupper Lake is a small town with a big heart in the center of the Adirondack Mountains. To serve our community the library partners regularly with the Town, schools, and other esteemed local organizations such as the Wild Center, The Adirondack Sky Center and Observatory and Tupper Arts.
