Network Engineer – Pennsylvania Candidates Only (Onsite in Lancaster, PA)

Location: Lancaster, PA
Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Salary: $70,000–$85,000
Experience Level: Up to 10–15 Years
Work Setting: 100% Onsite + Travel to Local PA Locations

Job Description:
Abel Personnel is seeking a Pennsylvania-based Network Engineer for an onsite role in Lancaster, PA, supporting multiple PA locations. This position requires a candidate who currently lives in PA, can commute daily to Lancaster, and can travel between additional Pennsylvania sites. Only PA residents will be considered.

The Network Engineer will support hybrid infrastructure, take ownership of network operations, and serve as the senior escalation point for advanced issues. Candidates must be able to hit the ground running with minimal onboarding.

Responsibilities:
• Manage hybrid Azure/on-prem infrastructure across multiple Pennsylvania sites
• Configure and maintain firewalls, switches, routers, VLANs, VPN tunnels, and routing protocols
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex network and infrastructure issues
• Troubleshoot and prioritize issues across multiple PA locations
• Support Windows Server, Active Directory, IAM, Exchange, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
• Assist with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and data/reporting environments
• Maintain documentation, diagrams, monitoring systems, and network security
• Ensure availability, performance, and reliability of all connected locations

Qualifications:
• Up to 10–15 years of Network Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering experience
• Hands-on Azure/hybrid cloud administration
• Strong firewall, routing, and switching configuration experience
• VLAN, VPN, segmentation, and routing protocol expertise
• Experience supporting multiple sites
• Familiarity with Power BI, Fabric, or data/reporting systems
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently
• Must live in Pennsylvania and be able to commute to Lancaster daily
• Preferred: CCNA, CCNP, Azure Admin/Architect, Network+, Security+
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Networking, or related field preferred
