Kandiyohi County Housing and Redevelopment Authority is seeking a Housing Specialist Rental Assistance Programs. Full-time position performs duties to determine household's eligibility and continued eligibility for rental assistance in the Housing Choice Voucher Program, Bring It Home Program or Bridges To Bridges Program. The position maintains the waiting list of prospective applicants for assistance, processes applications and determines eligibility, prepares Housing Assistance Payments contracts, conducts housing inspections, conducts annual or interim household eligibility re-certifications and works closely with landlords and tenants. Wages: $26.23 - $27.87 starting hourly wage depending on experience plus full benefits. Minimum high school diploma plus three years related work experience in government subsidized housing or other human services programs required. The Kandiyohi County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (KCHRA) welcomes applications from experienced candidates for its newly created Assistant Executive Director position. KCHRA owns and/or manages 489 rental housing units consisting of HUD Public Housing, HUD Section 811, Long-Term Supportive Housing, Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, Rural Development and market rate units located in Kandiyohi and McLeod counties. It also administers or co-administers rental assistance programs including the HUD Housing Choice Voucher Program, State of Minnesota Bring It Home Program and the Southwest Minnesota Adult Mental Health Consortiums Bridges to Bridges Program.
