POSITION SUMMARY   Counsel will help the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) achieve its mission and goals, primarily by  protecting its legal interests. Counsel will represent the CHA in matters litigated in state and federal  courts and administrative hearings and will provide advice to client departments. Based on CHAs  needs, representative cases and assignments may include, but are not limited to, the following: personal  injury litigation, eviction matters and litigation, administrative hearings and administrative review  proceedings, as well as other substantive areas relevant to our practice, as needed, to advance CHAs  interests and goals. POSITION SUMMARY  The Senior Assistant General Counsel in the Contracts and Corporate Counseling Division works closely with the Department of Procurement and other agency departments to prepare the majority of the contracts for the various Chicago Housing Authority user departments. POSITION SUMMARY  This position ensures that CHAs housing portfolio of Public Housing, RAD, and Mixed  Income remain in good physical, financial, and regulatory condition. The position is  responsible for creating, implementing, and monitoring Asset Management policies and  processes, and establishing strong compliance practices through layered quality control  and compliance mechanisms.
