JOB ANNOUNCEMENT   COUNTY ROAD SHOP FOREMAN MECHANIC APPRENTICESHIP OPTION   COLUMBIA COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS   Columbia County Public Works is seeking to hire an entry level to advanced Shop Foreman/Mechanic.  This position will be responsible for the planning, scheduling, directing, and evaluating of the repair and servicing of County maintenance equipment and vehicles. Required to have a significant understanding of road maintenance equipment systems, electrical and mechanical testing equipment, diagnostic tools, computer application, and a variety of hand, power, and shop tools. Applicants are not required to have a current Washington Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Class A with endorsement N; however, new hires are required to obtain a CDL thru the Countys CDL training program within their probationary period, which may be up to a year.  Preference will be given to applicants who have a Washington Class A CDL with an applicators license.   Columbia...
