On-the-job Education and Training for Career Advancement GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: We are seeking a dynamic professional to serve as a part-time Medical Assistant in our office-based-surgical center. Prior experience in ophthalmology is preferred but not required. This role requires strong attention to detail, medical knowledge and terminology, and a commitment to patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Clinic Manager and/or Lead Technician ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Patient Care & Clinical Support Prepare patients for in-office ophthalmic surgical procedures. Obtain and document patient history, medications, allergies, and vital signs. Educate patients on procedure expectations, pre-operative instructions, and post-operative care.
