Payroll Specialist/Human Resource Generalist The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for a broad range of human resource duties including payroll, benefit administration, retirement, recruitment and training. Essential Job Functions: Maintains personnel records, computes and prepares payroll, posts compensated absences to update individual sick and vacation balances. Verifies employment/earnings when requested. Forwards workers compensation and insurance forms to the County Insurance/Benefits Coordinator. Assists with recruitment initiatives, conducts new hire orientation presentation and manages new hire paperwork. Coordinates training initiatives with HR and Management teams. Researches and interviews trainers, coordinates and schedules management, employee, and development training and special events.
