Wastewater Plant Maintenance - Mentor The Wastewater Plant Maintenance position involves duties associated with the maintenance of buildings, pump stations and process equipment at the Mentor Wastewater Treatment Plant. Essential Job Functions: Assists in assigned corrective maintenance work order duties. Installs, troubleshoots and repairs mechanical and electrical equipment at plants or lift stations. Lift station maintenance including operating, troubleshooting, repairing, sweeping, raking, and trash cleanup. On-the-job training at the plants and lift stations on processes and operations. Water Utility Quality Assurance Distribution Operator The Water Utility Quality Assurance Distribution Operator is responsible for various repair, maintenance, mapping and inspection of potable water distribution system. Essential Job Functions: Flushes dead-end and unidirectional hydrants or blow offs to maintain acceptable chlorine residual and maintain a flushing log. Flushes areas in the distribution system in which customers have been experiencing taste and odor problems or dirty water.
