The Aspen Times seeks a senior reporter/assistant editor to help lead the newsroom. This is a hybrid role with roughly equal focus on reporting, copy editing, and print production, making it ideal for a journalist who thrives both in the field and on the desk. While reporting will cover general assignment, business, and community news, a significant portion of this role centers on shaping the final productediting stories for clarity, accuracy, and tone, and playing a key role in the design and production of the print edition. On designated production days, you will take the lead in copy editing and page design, working closely with reporters, photographers, and designers to build pages, refine headlines, and ensure a polished, engaging newspaper.
