THE POSITION The Finance Manager is a key member of the City’s management team, playing a central role in safeguarding the City’s financial health and supporting sound fiscal decision-making across the organization. The Finance Manager oversees advanced financial, accounting, and budgetary functions and assists in guiding the City’s long-term fiscal strategy. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the position plans, coordinates, and supervises daily departmental operations while ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and applicable laws and policies. The Finance Manager participates in and assumes responsibility for all departmental functions including financial audits, quarterly reports, G/L accounting, purchasing, payroll, A/P, A/R, fixed assets, bank reconciliation, and other municipal financial activities.
