PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER (FIREFIGHTER/POLICE OFFICER) The City of Cedar Falls is seeking qualified candidates to test, as applicable, for the position of Public Safety Officer.  The FY27 annualized starting pay will be $73,540,  but certified candidates will begin at Step 2 ($80,587) with the potential to start up to Step 5 ($94,973) based on the number of completed years of certified experience and if Firefighter I certified.  Full-time benefits including tuition reimbursement apply.   For consideration, all applicants must submit proof of two years post high school education consisting of 60 semester or 90-quarter credit hours from an accredited college or university with their application.  In lieu of this, proof of Firefighter I & II certifications from the State of Iowa must be submitted and 5 years of public safety experience, including Firefighter or Police Officer experience.  Candidates must meet the minimum hiring standards of the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy...
