The Town of Mount Airy is currently accepting applications for the position of licensed Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Lead Operator. This position operates and maintains the Town's water plants and wastewater treatment facility in accordance with Federal, State, and local laws. Duties entail physical and manual labor. Field duties are performed in all weather conditions.
Minimum Qualifications:
State of Maryland Operator Wastewater Treatment Class 5A license and/or Operator Water Treatment Class 3 license.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, utilize and climb stairs and climb in and out of equipment.
Basic computer skills with the ability to read & respond to email.
Valid drivers license.
Task oriented, self-motivated and ability to work independently.
