The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest covers more than 1.5 million acres of Wisconsin's northwoods, managing lands for multiple uses including forestry, wildlife habitat, outdoor recreation, fisheries management, special forest products gathering, wilderness and natural areas management.
The Forest offers a variety of employment opportunities ranging from part-time to full-time to volunteer positions. The USDA Forest Service as a whole hires more than 30,000 permanent employees to serve in professional, technical and administrative positions.
