Job Description Requisition Number: 50731 Department: Park and Recreation Full-Time/Part-Time: Part-Time Regular/Temporary: Regular The City of Fort Worth Park and Recreation Department is currently recruiting for one Community Center Aide to perform work assisting with programs and activities at the Highland Hills Community Center. This is a 20 hour per week position. The Community Center Aide assists with coordinating and conducting programs and activities for participants of all ages. This position will work at the front desk as the first point of contact dealing with inquiries, taking registrations, checking members in to programs and selling memberships. They perform a variety of custodial and light maintenance work around the center. These positions will have heavy phone and public contact. Must have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. A computer proficiency test will be given during the interview process. Working evenings and weekends hours may be required. Must have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma and six months of experience in recreation or athletic services and programs; some custodial experience required. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Valid Texas driver's license. Possession of, or ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid, and AED certification during the first six months of employment. Job Preferences Preference will be given to applicant with Spanish speaking skills. Preference will be given to applicant with experience working with children ages 5 - 13 years. Preference will be given to applicant with customer service experience.
