Job Description The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has a requirement for an experienced attorney to provide support for the office functions in processing Federal EEO complaints, training, disability and reasonable accommodation. The attorney may also perform other duties as necessary. Responsibilities: • Review formal EEO complaints • Draft correspondence to accept or dismiss the complaints • Review Reports of Investigation (ROIs) for legal sufficiency consistent with regulations and management directives issued by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission • Update the complaints processing database and perform other duties regarding EEO complaints processing as assigned • Assist the staff members with writing and developing training materials, and researching legal issues • Provide support to the division reasonable accommodation program by researching complex accommodation issues and identifying potential options for accommodations • Assist in the development of an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) policy and associated materials to educate DEA staff about ADR Qualifications: • Degree from an accredited Law School • Active Bar membership • A minimum of 2-5 years demonstrated experience in equal employment opportunity (EEO) and civil rights, preferably in the Federal sector • Must be able to work in a collaborative environment, have excellent written and oral communication skills, manage multiple and competing priorities, meet deadlines, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills • Strong analytical skills • Have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
