Forest Hills Memory Gardens is located at 19415 Lee Highway on the west end of Abingdon, Virginia. The cemetery is one of the largest Perpetual Care Cemeteries in Southwest Virginia.
Jack and Edith Harmon, famous for The Gospel Sing which aired on Sunday mornings, started the cemetery in 1962. In 1983, David and Barbara Farris purchased Forest Hills from the Harmons and continue to develop the beautiful 75 acre property with their son, Kelly Farris, as General Manager.
Currently we have two Chapel Mausoleums (The Chapel of Memories and Colonial Chapel) and one Open Air Mausoleum (Serenity Gardens). There are eight ground burial sections, Garden of Christus, Garden of the Good Shepherd, The Masonic Garden, Garden of the Last Supper, Garden of Peace, Garden of Faith, Garden of Hope and Garden of Loyalty.
