Job Description Job Description Position Summary: Also referred to as a Purchasing Specialist, the procurement specialist is responsible for the purchasing of goods and services that are required for company operations. The procurement specialist must also ensure that all purchases meet company quality and other requirements and are obtained at the best possible price.
