Job Description
PURPOSE SUMMARY. Under the direct supervision of the Controller, analyze financial data and reporting, general ledger accounts and maintain and control complex fiscal accounting for various funds and accounts using governmental accounting for state and local government. Assist with preparation of financial reporting and annual audit process. Perform lead worker responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES.
1. Assist with General Ledger Accounting.
Review, monitor, and analyze a variety of financial transactions to ensure that proper funds/cost centers/accounts are charged, and expenditures/revenues are recorded accurately and in a time manner.
Examine recorded transactions for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with proper accounting, financial procedures, and regulations.
Assist in the design and development of new or improved accounting practices.
