Job Description Summary: The Instructional Designer will partner with business operations leaders and the training and development team to design and create learning content, primarily for e-learning endeavors. Responsibilities: Serve as the primary administrator of and substantive expert on the Axonify Learning Management platform. Plan, design, and develop compelling e-learning content for micro topics, as well as delivery methods utilizing proven adult learning and instructional design concepts; manage all content to ensure accurate and relevant information delivery. Maintain a strong operating knowledge of the Axonify Learning Management platform, including up to date information on all new features and functions. Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop relevant training content. Monitor Axonify reporting to identify associate knowledge gaps and learning opportunities; partner with operations’ management on their use of reporting. Respond to information and troubleshooting requests from end users; coordinate problem resolution; escalate issues to Axonify as required. Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Educational Technology or related field Five to seven years of experience in training and development, instructional design, e-learning and learning management system administration Experience with the Kirkpatrick Model for assessing training Strong familiarity with adult learning concepts Experience providing recommendations and guidance around instructional design principles and practices within an e-learning environment preferred Able to understand and translate business needs into technology-based solutions Excellent writing and communication skills Willing and able to meet aggressive deadlines Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Heinen’s, Inc. provides equal employment opportunity to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, genetic information, marital status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
