Job Description

Laborer. Omega Protein, Inc. (Moss Point, MS). 8 openings. Temp, F/T job from 4/1/19 to 11/3/19. Unload catch from
fishing vessels. Assist in storing & maintaining inventory. Assist, as needed, w/clean-up of plant grounds, production areas
& eqpmt, mending nets. Perform other tasks as directed within plant yard during fishing season. Maintain cleanliness of
work area. Assist w/disposal of waste water. Complete tasks safely. Report all hazards, accidents, injuries, or
environmental excursions to member of the mgmt team immediately. Work schedule: Day Shift: 7am-3:30pm; Night Shift:
7pm to 3:30am. Must be available to work day or night shifts based on need w/min 35 hrs/wk. Must be available to work
any day of week, depending on schedule. Reqmts: 1 month plant exp; Ability to: Work in cold, wet, hot & humid weather;
be able Work on feet in bent, stooped or standing positions for long periods of time; Lift up to 50lbs consistently all day
long. Background check & post-offer, pre/post-employment drug screening will be carried out equally between US workers
& H2B workers. Must pass post-offer, pre-employment physical exam at employer's expense. These reqmts are for all US
& H-2B workers. Observing safety procedures & the proper use of safety devices is a condition of employment. Pay: Min.
$14.11/hr. O/T reqd based on company need paid at $21.17/hr. A single workweek'll be used to compute wages due.
Wages paid bi-weekly. All deductions from worker's paycheck reqd by law'll be made. Employer'll provide workers at no
charge all tools, supplies & eqpmt reqd to perform job. Employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least 3/4ths
of workdays in each 12-week period of total employment period. Employer'll pay upfront for all visa, visa processing,
border crossing & other related fees, including those mandated by government (excluding passport fees). Ground
transport to place of employment'll be provided by employer at no cost to worker; Ground expenses & subsistence costs'll
be reimbursed to worker on the 1stpaycheck. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $12.26/day during travel to a
max. of $51.00/day w/ receipts. If worker does not complete at least 1/2 of employment period, worker is expected to
refund employer. Return transport'll be provided if worker completes employment period or is dismissed early by
employer. Accommodation may be available for workers that live more than 75 miles away from plant. Accommodation is
