Job Summary
A Scientist I position is available in the Department of Molecular & Cellular Biochemistry, University of Kentucky ( The successful candidate will focus on functional studies of small G-protein signaling in normal physiology and disease.

Seeking candidates that have a degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline and have published at least three research articles in international peer-reviewed journals as the first author.

The successful candidate should have practical knowledge of biochemical and molecular biological techniques (e.g. cloning, working with cultured cell lines and primary cells, immunoprecipitation, protein expression and purification, mouse handling, etc.).

Demonstrated expertise in one of the following areas would be advantageous: molecular biology; analysis of cellular signaling networks: work with transgenic mouse models, immunohistochemistry/microscopy expertise, and neuroscience.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Molecular Biology; Microscopy; Eexperience working with mice; analysis of protein-protein interactions.

PhD preferred.
