Job Description

Apertus Partners is seeking a Business Intelligence Reporting Analyst/Developer. The ideal candidate will have the following skill set as described in the contract:

 

5+ years of experience developing in Tableau .

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, Business Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field. This may be substituted with relevant experience of 5+ years.

Ability to work on multiple priorities and meet project delivery dates

Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server

Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

K-12 education experience preferred but not required

Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of users and teammates

Ability to analyze and interpret business requirements and designs into Tableau solutions

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to perform unit, system, and performance testing

Ability to produce status reports and communicate status of projects on a regular basis

 

Responsibilities:

      Develop and maintain BI dashboards, reports and cubes based on business and technology requirements and industry standard best practices.

Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems

Follows all required software development standards, change control procedures, and security requirements.

Develop high quality deliverables.

Ensure that the deliverables meet organization and performance requirements.

Assists in the formulation of business and testing requirements.

Coordinates and performs required unit, system and performance testing. Works with other team members on User Acceptance testing and issue resolution.

Ability to work both independently and participate as a member of a cross-functional team.

Ability to build relationships with project sponsors, stakeholders, other technical staff, vendors, and end users.

Participates in continuous improvement activities by identifying and analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and develops strategies for improvements.

Produces status reports and communications on a regular basis.

Provides requested information to the business clients utilizing advanced reporting tools.

Leverages analysis techniques to develop comprehensive reporting solutions.

Designs Data Warehouse components for solutions that take into consideration the value of performance, scalability, operability, flexibility, affordability, and ability to be audited.

Devises and builds data processing jobs for the creation and maintenance of tables, views, and data marts.

Designs Data Warehouse components for solutions that take into consideration the value of performance, scalability, operability, flexibility, affordability, and ability to be audited.

Designs and develops dimensional data models, ETL/ELT frameworks and processing, metadata management, operational data integration.

Required Skills:

      Working knowledge or experience with SQL Server 2016+, SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS.

Working knowledge or experience with Business Objects XI, Business Objects Web Intelligence.

Working knowledge or experience with Tableau.

Experience with Data Visualization.

Skill in relational modeling.

Devises and builds data processing jobs for the creation and maintenance of tables, views, and data marts.

Manages the logical and physical design of a BI data warehouse, including the creation of tables, views, procedures, packages and other database objects in support of OLAP cubes for analytics and system dashboards and reporting.

Skill in the operation of computers and peripheral equipment.

Understanding of Data Warehousing principals, concepts, and architecture ? Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project delivery dates

Ability to effectively analyze and manage requirements

Knowledge of programming concepts and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Ability to coordinate the work of a team with the work of other units within the Department of Research, Assessment and Accountability and other BCPS offices and departments.

Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of users and team members.
