Pay Status: Exempt
Expected Hours: Minimum 40 hours/week
Dates of Employment/Start Date: June 11, 2019 - August 3, 2019
Reports To: Camp Programs Director
Housing Available: Yes

Our ideal candidate will focus on the following essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Attend to the illnesses or injuries of both program participants and staff;
  • Supervise and maintain high standards of health and safety, and follow Risk Management policies in all activities;
  • Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications to program participants and staff per written protocol at designated times;
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medication administration and illness/injury care delivered to campers and staff per written protocol;
  • Report illness, injury, and abuse to proper authorities when necessary per written protocol;
  • Manage all documentation and protocol in relation to California State Child Care Licensure;
  • Maintain a watchful presence to the overall wellness of campers and staff;
  • Work directly with the Director, EMS, fire department, and hospital, either by phone or in-person, when needed to attend to the illness/injury of a participant or employee;
  • Maintain, clean, and stock the Health Center, and purchase first aid supplies when necessary;
  • Track and maintain all Amplify medical supplies;
  • Attend and participate in camp programming when available;
  • Attend and facilitate all staff meetings and trainings as assigned;
  • Attend meals in the Dining Hall as assigned;
  • Abide by and uphold the policies and procedures set forth by Amplify

Our required education, experience, and certifications:

  • Licensed Physician, Licensed Physician's Assistant, or Registered Nurse;
  • Excellent driving record and a valid driver's license;
  • Must be able to successfully pass a comprehensive background check.

In addition to the above required talents, our ideal candidate will have these preferred skillsets:

  • Desired computer skills include proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and Adobe;
  • Comprehension of the Spanish language via written and/or verbal form.
