The Director of Academic Advising reports to the Dean of Student Services and is responsible for improving the quality of academic advising by providing information, advice, and assistance to students. Directs the activities of the advising department.
Requires a Master's degree in education, guidance, counseling, student development, or related discipline. Requires three to five years of experience providing effective academic advising to students in higher education. Must have an understanding of student development, student learning, career development, and other relevant theories in education, social sciences, and humanities. TSI compliance duties. Must have good communication skills both written and spoken.
