Assembly/Finishing Operator 1st shift

Imperial Plastics, Inc. is seeking to hire an Assembly Operator at our Mora, MN location. As an Assembly Operator, you will responsible for a variety of tasks.

  • Verifies correct supplies and parts and assembles as per job book
  • Performs assembly operations in designated order as outlined by job book
  • Visually inspects all parts prior to packaging
  • Performs required steps of secondary operations with the use of hand tools
  • Performs rework duties as needed
  • Boxes and labels parts for shipment to customers
  • Maintains clean workstation and continuously practices housekeeping standards
  • Must be able to visually inspect and/or, utilize tools and other means of testing to ensure part quality is acceptable per job book and customer requirements

Reading, communication and math skills commensurate with a high school education or GED.

Assembly/Finishing Operator Physical Requirements

  • Lift 50 lbs to shoulder height on a repetitive basis (with/without assistance)
  • Push 40 lbs on a repetitive basis
  • Lift at ground level
  • Over shoulders or head on a repetitive basis
  • Reach over head on a repetitive basis
  • Perform repetitive hand and wrist movements
  • Ability to work around fumes and high temperatures
  • Ability to pull, bend, twist, and stoop on an on-going basis
  • Ability to grip and hold parts for inspection
  • Ability to use hand tools
  • Ability to be on feet for 8-10 hours with breaks

  • Safety glasses
  • Cut-resistant gloves
  • Burn-resistant gloves
  • Safety glasses w/ face shield
  • Hearing protection

Entry level job with little or no prior relevant work experience.
