Job Description

Immediate need for a Director Of Operations (DOO) for a high paced and rapid growing Loudoun County based Home Health Care Provider.

The Director of Operations Leads, Manages, and holds all branch staff Accountable (LMA) to deliver consistent, safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to every client for multiple branches within an assigned territory. Must demonstrate the skills, abilities, and competencies to: recruit, hire, teach and develop a high-performance branch supervisory and field team; Partner closely with the Branch Manager, Director of Nursing, Sales Manager, and other key staff to maximize patient-centered care, branch revenues, and profitability. Serves as lead "integrator" of all branch-level business strategies.

The Director of Operations is responsible for improving revenues and profits through excellent branch operations, quality client care, maximizing Net Promoter Scores (NPS), designing and executing comprehensive business plans and budgets, and ensuring compliance of all required licensures and accreditations.

Directly Supervises:

Branch Manager (BM); Director of Nursing (DON); Sales Manager (SM)

Supervision of key management (BM, DON, and SM) is a core responsibility of the DOO, requiring a focus to build a strong bench of managers and key supervisory staff to fill open and future opportunities within an assigned territory. The DOO will serve as lead "integrator" of all branch-level shared strategies related to people, operations, and sales. The DOO must keep the owner informed via defined metrics, required business updates, and execution of BrightStar systems.

Key Leadership, Management, and Accountabilities (LMA):

Excellent multi-site branch operations; quality client care; maximizing Net Promoter Scores (NPS); business plans and budgets; brand compliance standards, and compliance of all required licensures and accreditations.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor Degree in Business Management or Administration; may substitute Degree requirement with a combination of education/experience; and minimum of 2 years' experience as Director of Operations and/or multi-site/unit manager (e.g., District Manager, Area Supervisor, Regional Manager).
  2. CPR Certification.
  3. Proficient in MSOffice (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  4. 1-2 years' experience using major brand payroll software/payroll provider (e.g. PeopleSoft, PayCom, Oasis, ADP preferred ).
  5. 3-5 years' experience managing multiple high-volume healthcare offices, branches, or agencies; agency operations with a strong customer relations and quality of work culture.
  6. 1-2 years' sales management experience.
  7. 5-7 years' managing people and effectively scheduling staff at all levels (supervisory, per diem staff, full-time, and part-time employees).
  8. Valid driver's license.
  9. Transportation to meet the needs of position and scope of job responsibilities.
  10. Valid state required proof of auto insurance.
  11. Experience managing within a healthcare environment supervising field staff, LPNs, CNAs, and RNs is highly desired.

Travel Requirements:

  • Frequent travel as needed for various sales, marketing, and client care service needs within assigned territory.
  • As directed based on the needs of the business and attending job required training and conferences.

Work Environment:

  • Office Environment: high-paced office/branch environment; continuous phone use/ringing; talking; various noise levels; interactions with employees and clients; sitting and standing for long periods of time; bending and stooping required; lifting up to 10 lbs. regularly and up to 50+ lbs. may be required; using a computer for extended periods: typing, staring at a bright monitor or TV screen; using fingers, wrists, and arms; stress on back may occur; possible exposure to prescription drugs, bodily fluids, small appliances for cooking, cooling, and heating foods or securely storing medications.
  • Client's Environment: Unknown environments; bodily fluids, household and human germs; extreme cold or hot temperatures in or outside; light to heavy traffic; inclement weather; human body weights that vary based on client health and lifting as prescribed or needed per plan of care; 50+ lbs.
  • Travel: highways; airports; rental car centers; gas stations; exposure to natural elements and hazards of travel.
