Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (Germantown,WI)

Responsibilities:

1. Performing routine preventative maintenance on all production assets.

2. Efficient timely repairs of non-functioning production assets

3. Performing modifications and/or fabrication projects to increase reliability and/or efficiency.

4. Respond to operator requests and works with the operator to resolve issues.

5. Assist maintenance manager with projects and other assigned duties.

6. Due to the nature of the position, overtime and no-regular hours (during production down-time) may be required to support production

 

Requirements:

  • High school diplomas or equivalent;
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Minimum 3 years as maintenance experience in mfg. environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of 3 phase motor control, electronic drives, relay, logic, building electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Use of basic hand tools, set ups and proficiently operates machine tools such as manual knee mill, grinder, drill press, welder, table saw and band saw.
  • Must be comfortable working a heights up to 30 ft. as there may be occasions when individual will need to work on building roofs or at heights inside facility.
  • Able to use welding equipment proficiently
  • Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area, tools and equipment.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations

Nelson Container, a corrugated box manufacturer in Germantown, seeks a professional industrial maintenance mechanic; an honest, mechanically inclined, organized, project-oriented individual who is highly ethical and an effective communicator. This person values the abilities, efforts and contributions of others.

This self-starter, willing to get their hands dirty, will be responsible for; preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance of the production equipment, the electrical infrastructure, the building and grounds, HVAC system and low voltage wiring. Additionally, equipment safety guards and procedures, maintenance contracts, and rebuilding projects will be driven by this team leader.

This committed professional must have a high school education, 3 years of maintenance experience, knowledge of the flex-o-graphic printing process, be PC literate and hold a valid Wisconsin drivers license. It is preferred that this can-do individual have 5 years of experience, has erected machinery, knows how to weld, has a vocational degree, is certified as an industrial maintenance mechanic and is experienced in electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
