Administrative Specialist


Applications are now being accepted for an Administrative Specialist in Fleet Services at Ada County Highway District. This is a full time, non-exempt position with a starting wage of $14.74 - $16.94 per hour, DOQ.

Primary Responsibilities:
The Administrative Specialist will perform a variety of advanced administrative and clerical tasks including answering phones, tracking purchase orders and invoices, tracking the Fleet Department budget, coordinating procurement activities with other departments, maintaining vehicle maintenance databases, working with vendors, preparing specification agreements, retrieving information off of equipment, preparing work orders, etc.

The successful candidate must be detail oriented, have excellent communication skills, the ability to deal effectively with the public, and have a good knowledge of filing systems and general office practices and procedures. This position requires proficiency in Word, Excel, and database entry.
Or any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities are acceptable.
