Alewelt Services Inc., 18358 County Hwy D20, Alden, IA 50006, 515-859-3223 is seeking 3 temporary full-time Semi-truck Drivers to work at 3700 28th Street Lot # 101 Sioux City , IA and additional worksites in the Sioux City, IA, Northwest IA Non-Metropolitan Area, Southwest Iowa Non- Metropolitan Area, Omaha - Council Bluffs, NE - IA MSA and the Northeast Nebraska Non Metropolitan Area from April 01, 2019 to December 20, 2019 to operate semi-trucks, moving form trailers and concrete construction equipment.
Drivers required to clean and maintain trucks. Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs, 50 yards. Class A or International Commercial Driver's License, good driving record and driving skills required. No prior education required. 3 months semi-truck driving experience required. Daily transportation to and from the employer's place of business will be provided.
Wage is $20.31 per hour. Approximately 40 hours per week, Mondays-Fridays, 7 am-6 pm with up to 20 hours overtime may be available but not guaranteed. Applicants may be offered higher than the advertised wage rate due to experience or merit. $31.22 per hour for overtime. All deductions from the worker's paycheck will be made as required by law. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages and pay bi-weekly by check.
The employer will provide housing as an option to employees living outside the regular commuting distance. Employees who elect to live in the housing will have an additional $112.50 deducted per bi-weekly paycheck for rent and utilities. In the first workweek, the cost of transportation (including meals and to the extent necessary, lodging) from the place of recruitment to the place of work will be directly reimbursed to every worker. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. In the first workweek, daily subsistence for travel to the place of employment will be reimbursed at a rate of at least $12.26 per day to a maximum of $51.00 per day with receipts. Also workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
