Job Description Mid sized public company with international presence is seeking a Corporate Controller to supervises all accounting & finance functions of the company and its affiliated entities. Primary responsibilities include the supervision and review of daily financial accounting activities leading to the monthly global consolidation and preparation of the US GAAP consolidated financial statements and quarterly SEC reporting. Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities: Prepare, generate and assist the CFO on annual and monthly budget and financial reporting package. Manage and maintain chart of accounts. Ensure effective management of standard journal posting and monthly account reconciliations. Review journal entries required to reflect the monthly activity. Preparation and oversee the monthly close process and month end balances. Review monthly accounting close process including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained. Perform cash projections to effectively manage cash balances and maximize the return on any excess cash balances. Implement a process to record transactions by department and compare costs incurred to budget and performance analysis of profit centers. Complete regulatory filings (property tax, business tax, sales and use tax, miscellaneous). Manage all aspects of the Fixed Asset module including depreciation and reconciliation of the sub ledger module to the general ledger and assist offices with physical inventory process and reflect physical inventory results in the Fixed Asset module. Oversee the annual audit process – create PBC schedules and provide backup support as requested by auditors. Maintain annual audit binder. Coordinate the preparation of corporate annual report. Monitor capital and operating leases and advise CFO on capital expenditures. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the CFO Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelors and/or Master’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting. The degree should be obtained from a well-recognized university. CPA required (active or inactive status) 10+ years of experience in the accounting and finance sector. At least 5+ years of experience managing accountants and the accounting and finance process with increasing responsibilities as an accountant in an environment of rapid change. “Big Four” or national accounting firm audit experience is highly preferred but not required. Strong experience in both the private and public accounting. SOX experience Extensive accounting experience and capabilities in the areas of budget reporting, financial statements, account reconciliations, journal entries and knowledge of GAAP.
