Job Description Our client is searching for a Customer Service Rep to join their team! The Customer Service Rep is responsible for locating and notifying borrowers of their defaulted student loans through mail, phone, and skip-tracing sources to resolve their obligations. The Customer Service Rep will negotiate resolution of outstanding student loan debt, provide customer service, skip-trace to locate borrowers, and update records and document activity. Salary of the Customer Service Rep: $15.50 - $18/hour Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm with two shifts per week 12 pm - 9 pm (never of Fridays) Responsibilities of the Customer Service Rep: Record and update account activity including student borrowers' financial status, demographics, and collection efforts Perform various administrative functions and special projects, including address changes, adding and editing phone numbers, references, payment schedules, and assisting with document submissions Assist in training new hires Reach out to student borrowers' regarding missing documents, reminder calls, credit card declines, and approaching completion of the program Perform administrative and clerical duties: reporting, monitoring, and documenting account updates Qualifications of the Customer Service Rep: 2 years' customer service/collections experience Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to solve complex problems and provide solutions Background Requirements of the Customer Service Rep: Drug Test Criminal Background Security Clearance - Public Trust Background Investigation & Fingerprint Check Sensitivity for this role is 5C Company Description Recruiting Resource Group is a leader in the professional, temporary, and direct hire industry.
