LABORER Full-Time Opportunity Borough Of River Edge (Bergen County) Under immediate or general supervision, the main duty will consist of recycling. Will also perform various types of manual, skilled and semi-skilled tasks involved in maintenance of public buildings, parks, grounds, roads and sewers including but not limited to chipping, landscaping, leaf/brush collection, shoveling, plowing, catch basin maintenance, road work, paving/patching, building & grounds maintenance, cleaning, and other related duties as assigned and as needed. Trade skills such as masonry, tree removal, pesticide application license are highly desirable. Candidate must be customer service oriented and be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. Full Time Opportunity Borough Of River Edge (Bergen County) Under direction of the DPW Superintendent and Tree Foreman, performs skilled tree maintenance work such as, pruning, watering, bracing, repairing, and removing all borough trees; climbs trees using climbing hooks, belts, and other manual or mechanical equipment used to aid in performing tree maintenance tasks. Operates a tree truck with an aerial lift. Must be able to obtain the following certifications: ACRT, first aid, and CPR. Two (2) years of experience in the care and maintenance of trees and shrubs a plus, which should have included the use and/or operation of manual or mechanical equipment used to climb trees.
