MAINTENANCE WORKER I/II/III
DEFINITION
Under either general or immediate supervision, the incumbent will perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled duties in the construction, repair, cleaning, and maintenance of irrigation canals, ditches, pipelines, and structures. Transportation of equipment and supplies as well as operation of heavy equipment are additional commonly assigned tasks.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
Maintenance Worker I:
This is the entry level in the class series. This class level is distinguished from level II and III by receiving direct and immediate supervision as well as assignment of the more routine maintenance tasks and duties. This class level is used as a training class with incumbents having little to no directly related experience.
