The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is a Combat Support Agency responsible for supporting joint operating forces across the range of military operations and in support of combatant commanders executing military operations. The DHA supports the delivery of integrated, affordable, and high quality health services throughout the Military Health System. It executes the Department’s medical mission, manages the execution of policy issued by the ASD (HA) and serves as the program manager for TRICARE health and medical resources. This needed position provides Human Resource (HR) support services for the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Military Personnel Support Division (MPSD). The services provided under this contract will support DHA’s requirement for a strengthened and robust full-service MPSD, equipped to provide the full array of human resources support services across multiple functional HR disciplines and programs. Responsibilities: Responsible for military education, training, and readiness by devising and implementing training plans, guidelines and procedures, readiness reports and assessments for the agency and individuals assigned Ensure that training and readiness are conducted in accordance with Service-specific training and readiness doctrine Prepare training and readiness guidelines, individual training and readiness records, operation orders, mobilization plans, SOPs, and readiness reports Prepare for agency yearly training workshop to develop yearly training and readiness plans with agency leadership Prepare for monthly agency training meetings, prepare training schedules and plans for approval by agency’s approval authority and maintain training and readiness guidance and documents as required by the agency and service-specific guidance Prepare correspondence for approval by appropriate approval authority. When and as required, completes training expenditure forecasts Coordinate training programs for the agency to include the scheduling of training areas, obtaining equipment and other materials required for testing of personnel and training scorer/evaluators or test officers Procure, design, reproduce, and distribute a variety of training aids, map overlays, and transparencies that are necessary to agency personnel for the efficient operation and training of the agency Manage use of school quotas, training support and other training resources as allocated to the agency Prepare and forward requests for training for all agency members ensuring applicants are eligible to attend the school requested and all prerequisites have been met Prepare or requests the appropriate personnel actions upon completion of required training and other qualifications. Coordinate, schedule, and monitor the use of training facilities, areas and ranges for annual and inactive duty training. Make recommendations regarding training and readiness of military personnel to the Chief, MPSD in support of the agency achieving its training and readiness mission Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in military education and training/readiness Experience with DoD, armed forces or military training and readiness program Service-specific Professional Military Education Service-specific Training and Readiness Databases Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Excellent communication skills; both oral and written Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen An Active Secret Clearance is strongly desired Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
